Launching the Application

Double-click the Process Vision shortcut on your desktop, or find it in the Start Menu.

A splash screen will appear showing the application name and version number.

License Activation

On first launch, the system may need to verify your license. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete activation. Contact your system administrator if you encounter any issues.

Main Window Overview

After startup, the main window contains the following areas:

  • Left navigation panel: Feature menu organized into Process, Recipe, Data, and Settings sections
  • Center area: Real-time temperature/pressure readings and chart area
  • Status bar: Current time, process state, and system messages

First-Run Checklist

Complete the following checks in order:

1. Verify Controller Connections

  1. Click "Device Configuration" in the left menu.
  2. Verify the temperature controller's COM Port is set correctly.
  3. Click "Test Connection" to test the link.
  4. Repeat for the pressure controller.
  5. A green "Connection OK" status indicates a successful connection.

2. Verify Video Capture Device

  1. In the "Video" tab of Device Configuration, click "Refresh".
  2. Select the correct capture device.
  3. Click "Test Preview" to confirm the video feed is working.

3. Configure Data Storage Path

  1. In the "General" tab, verify the database path.
  2. It is recommended to store data on a non-system drive (e.g., D: or E:) to avoid running out of space.

4. Language Settings

Use the language selector in the upper-right corner of the main window to switch between Traditional Chinese and English.

5. Test Run

After completing the above setup, it is recommended to perform a test run using simulation mode:

  1. Confirm "Device Configuration > General > Simulation Mode" is enabled.
  2. Open the "Process Monitor" window.
  3. Select a recipe and start a process.
  4. Verify the real-time data chart displays correctly.
  5. Verify the video recording function works properly.

Once the test run is successful, you can disable simulation mode and connect to the physical controllers for production use.
